Patti Flynn
Patti has an incredibly multifaceted background as an Endurance Athlete, Strategy Consultant, Coach and Race Director – creating the foundation for her strong leadership, organizational and process improvement skills. Searching for Community back in 2019, Patti joined EDGE and in the 4+ years here she has become a driving force in our EDGE ecosystem.
Her athletic adventures include feats such as conquering the TransRockies Run (x2), Boston Marathon, Ironman Arizona (x2), Holcomb Valley 50k, and Shawnee Hills 50k. She recently earned her RRCA Running Coach certification, and is training for USA Triathlon and USA Cycling coaching certifications.
Beyond her personal triumphs, Patti spearheads Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives within sports. Her role as race director with Proud to Run, Director of Education with the Queer Running Society, and speaking and consulting with events and organizations like the Chicago Marathon, TransRockies, Run Wild Missoula, RunningUSA and American Trail Running Association reflect her commitment to advocating for inclusivity.
Patti shapes policies, conducts workshops, and champions the safety and inclusion of trans and non-binary athletes, holding certifications as a DEIB Specialist and a Certified ISO30415 D&I Professional. Her dedication resonates with our gym’s ethos, promoting an environment where everyone, regardless of background or identity, thrives.
