THE BOSTON PROJECT

A unique program designed for Athletes to elevate their teammates in pursuit of their dreams.

Join us for an exclusive 18 week training journey that pairs up runners training for the Boston Marathon with BQ Hopefuls. By training side-by-side using a Boston-Specific plan designed to maximize strength and endurance, this team will toe their starting lines ready to tackle any obstacle.

The Boston Project will target the following races:

- Spring Chance BQ (4.18.20)
- Boston Marathon (4.20.20)

18 Weeks of specialized programming kicks off December 16 2019 and includes
the following (* indicates Coach-led session)

MONDAY RECOVERY RUN

Easy aerobic efforts with emphasis on progressive hill training using the RunBetter App

TUESDAY TEMPO RUN* (6:30pm at EDGE)

Endurance efforts aimed to build strength and boost your lactate threshold

WEDNESDAY STRENGTH* (6:30pm at EDGE)

Periodized strength programming with focus on quad strength, posterior chain power and hip/dynamic stability in small group format

THURSDAY SPEED RUN

Hard efforts to develop run efficiencies and boost overall speed

FRIDAY RECOVERY RUN

Easy aerobic efforts to further build muscular endurance (or Day Off)

SATURDAY LONG RUN* (8:00am at EDGE or 7:00am Offsite) 

Alternating Long Run efforts using both Chicago city terrain and rolling suburban hills. Location will depend on mileage and weather.

SUNDAY RECOVERY RUN* (8:30am on trail)

Easy aerobic effort with hills and minimal impact  = ultimate recovery tool
